Comfort Suites, Paradise Island
The contract consisted of a total of 150 bedrooms along with all public, communal and service areas. Of the 150 bedrooms 128 were of modular type construction, which were prefabricated in USA and shipped to Nassau via barge. They were then unloaded on Paradise Island and trucked to site for placing and securing to the foundation structure. This was the first occasion that this modular type of building had been used in the Bahamas. The remaining 22 bedrooms were of conventional block and concrete construction.The contract called for a 12-month construction period to enable early occupancy by the Client to coincide with the peak tourist season.
