National Insurance BoardThe contract comprised the construction
of a four-storey reinforced concrete office complex of approximately
70,000 square feet in area. The substructure ground floor slabs and other
structural elements were supported on concrete piles. Reinforced flat
slabs with drop heads at columns to upper floors and main roof in the
superstructure. The contract included for the provision of all services
including electrical, HVAC, mechanical, ventilation, water supply, fire
fighting equipment, fire sprinkler system and telephone installation.
External works covered entrances, service building, car park, roadways and
landscaping. Other features included the internal atrium courtyard
complete with grand stair, fountain, curtain-wall and space-frame roof
structure. |
